The May Foundation of Houston was established to support survivors of domestic gun violence and their children by connecting them to critical resources and support systems. 

 Through strategic partnerships and community collaboration, the foundation helps individuals access services such as safe housing, counseling, food assistance, clothing, and other essential needs that supports long term healing.

As a Survivor, I understand the challenges that come with rebuilding after trauma. This work is rooted in both lived experience and commitment to ensuring that no family navigates recovery alone. Our mission is to bridge the gap between survivors and the resources they need to move forward.

The May Foundation of Houston will assist Domestic Abuse Survivors with informational resources, & limited financial assistance on utility bills. Our mission includes working closely with other organizations to ensure you receive the help needed to begin your healing journey. 

 

Yes. While we would love to provide unlimited assistance, this is a ONE-TIME benefit and there is a limit on the amount we can offer. Please be advised we assist based on the funding we have available.

To qualify you will need a recent police report, ID/DL, proof of past due bills within 30 days of incident date, application from the may foundation of Houston, consent forms so we can pay directly to the company. Please note: We assist as funding becomes available. We will not accept applications if there are no funds at the time. You can always check back as we will update the site to notify that funding is available.
