The May Foundation of Houston was started to assist surviving domestic gun violence victims, domestic abuse victims, and their kids with financial resources to assist in purchasing clothes, food, shelter & offer bills assistance. As a domestic gun violence SURVIVOR who struggled emotionally and financially while healing, I understand the burden that worrying can bring. The foundation aims to offer hope and ease the burden for those in need.  Donations are welcome to aid in this mission.

The May Foundation of Houston will assist Domestic Abuse Survivors with informational resources, & limited financial assistance on utility bills. Our mission includes working closely with other organizations to ensure you receive the help needed to begin your healing journey. 

 

Yes. While we would love to provide unlimited assistance, this is a ONE-TIME benefit and there is a limit on the amount we can offer. Please be advised we assist based on the funding we have available.

To qualify you will need a recent police report, ID/DL, proof of past due bills within 30 days of incident date, application from the may foundation of Houston, consent forms so we can pay directly to the company. Please note: We assist as funding becomes available. We will not accept applications if there are no funds at the time. You can always check back as we will update the site to notify that funding is available.
